# Update a channel

> Partially update a channel using JSON Merge Patch.

`PATCH /rest/api/channels/{id}`

Updates the Channel resource.

Partially updates a channel. The body is a [JSON Merge Patch](https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc7396) document: include only the fields you want to change - for example to rename it, change its `status`, or update the products assigned to it.

> **Translations**
>
> Send `X-Flowkiwi-Locale` to update the `name` for a specific locale. Other locales keep their existing translation.
