# Update an attribute list value

> Partially update an attribute list value using JSON Merge Patch.

`PATCH /rest/api/categories/attribute_list_values/{id}`

Updates the Attribute List Value resource.

Partially updates an attribute list value. The body is a [JSON Merge Patch](https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc7396) document - include only the fields you want to change.
